Strength and Conditioning
A comprehensive Strength & Conditioning Program is integrated into the CHEA'S MARTIAL ARTS curriculum. This functional training program is supervised by Coach Mike Macchioni, a certified exercise specialist and owner of Northeast Sport Training and Rehabilitation. The program objectives are to enhance athletic performance and reduce susceptibility to injury.
This innovative exercise regimen improves aspects of athletic performance which are not typically developed during Taekwondo training. Over the course of 12 months, our athletes are moved through a progression of exercises designed to develop the attributes of speed, agility, explosive strength, balance and coordination. The resultant improvement in general athletic abilities eventually translates into a sport-specific competitive advantage.
